The U.S. 6 bridge over State Road 331 in Bremen is expected to open this week.
INDOT officials say the road has been closed for a bridge deck overlay and bridge painting. This work was done in an effort to prolong the life of the bridge deck.
The road was anticipated to be open today (Wednesday, June 30), but it may be delayed a couple of days as contractors are testing the concrete and inspecting the work to ensure all is safe for traffic. However, officials say it is expected to be open before the July 4 holiday weekend.
The road has been closed since mid-April in order to complete this work.
