The property at 415 Lakeshore Drive in Culver that was once home to the City Tavern restaurant was sold in a Sheriff’s Sale on Tuesday afternoon.
Town Attorney Jim Clevenger told the Culver Town Council members Tuesday night that several liens filed against the property by the town will be reimbursed from this sale which includes demolition costs and other charges. The county will also receive back taxes on the property.
Clevenger said the property was sold by $1.00 over the minimum bid.
The town council members thanked Clevenger for his work on the matter that took about three years to resolve.
