Addresses have been assigned to the Trails at Mill Pond and Memorial Forest so residents can easily find the areas to visit on GPS or the county’s GIS system.
The Memorial Forest can be found at 18452 14th Road in Culver and the Trails at Mill Pond is located at 12512 Rose Road in Plymouth.
The Marshall County Parks and Recreation Department Board members were updated on that information Thursday night as well as the development of a kiosk at the Trails at Mill Pond.
Trail developers Jeff Houin and Brandon Calhoun presented an update on the kiosk project at Mill Pond Forest. It is under the direction of Boy Scout Josiah Duff who has undertaken the kiosk as an Eagle Scout project. Houin said Duff got the authorization for the project and he is currently waiting on the approval of the plans.
The kiosk will feature information such as rules and directions and other items at the Trails at Mill Pond. The board will review the plans once they are approved by the Boy Scouts and then construction can begin.
