Marshall County’s website that assists veterans in getting a job is gathering more interest from potential employers.
Marshall County Economic Development Corporation President and CEO Laura Walls told the Marshall County Commissioners last week that employers are looking into working with the organization to help place veterans into jobs.
Walls commented that Veterans Service Officer Pam Schweizer-Betz has been a great partner in the process.
The job portal, www.wewantvets.com, allows veterans to search available jobs by military occupation classification (MOC). Veterans may register on the website, create a profile and upload a resume. Employers can look at the information and reach out to the veteran for more information.
The website also points out Marshall County’s quality of life, housing, and many resources for veterans.
