Eight New COVID-19 Cases Reported in Tri-County Area

Another 607 cases of COVID-19 were reported in the state in Monday’s report from the Indiana Department of Health which includes five new cases in Marshall County and three new cases in Starke County.  There were no positive cases reported in Pulaski County.

One more person in the state has died of COVID-19 which raises the total number of COVID-19 deaths to 13,004.

Over 10 million tests, both new and repeat tests, have been reported to the Indiana Department of Health since February 26, 2020. 

COVID-19 vaccines are available to residents age 16 and older.  Appointments can be made by visiting https://ourshot.in.gov or by calling 211.  The website lists locations where appointments are not necessary.

In the state’s updated weekly school coronavirus dashboard, 765 new student cases of COVID-19 have been reported in the state, along with 40 new teacher cases and 62 new staff cases.

Locally, there were less than five new student COVID-19 cases at Culver Community Middle/High School, Lincoln Junior High School, Washington Discovery Academy, Triton Junior/Senior High School, Triton Elementary School, LaVille Junior/Senior High School, and LaVille Elementary School.

There were eight new student COVID-19 cases at John Glenn High School.

Argos Elementary School had less than five new teacher cases, while there were less than five new staff cases at Culver Middle/High School and Elementary School, and LaVille Junior/Senior High School.
