Culver Town Council President Bill Githens signed a proclamation last week that recognizes the men and women who work in Emergency Medical Services. May 16-22 is National Emergency Medical Services Week.
Githens read the proclamation aloud during the town council meeting.
“…Whereas Emergency Medical Services care for their communities and are first, fast and fearless in the fight along with their partners in the public safety in Culver Police and Culver Fire; and whereas the members of the Culver EMS went above and beyond and caring for the community…”
It was noted in the proclamation that EMS personnel put themselves on the line for people in the community during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Culver Town Council members unanimously accepted the proclamation and thanked all members of emergency services in the Town of Culver.
