The Culver Community School Board approved the hire of Erika James as the new Culver Elementary School Principal Monday night.
Superintendent Karen Shuman said James will replace Erin Proskey who is the new director of student services.
Shuman said James has been with the corporation for several years.
“She has been our instructional coach and our social emotional learning counselor for a year now and she was a high ability teacher before that,” stated Shuman. “We worked at Plymouth prior to that and is originally from Wisconsin.”
The school board also hired a new music teacher and 4th grade teacher to fill recent employment openings.
