Crowdfunding Campaign Begins in Bourbon for New Sports Court

The Town of Bourbon could have a new sports court if the community supports a unique fundraising campaign.

This project would revitalize the town park in Bourbon with updated basketball courts, a pickleball court, and a shuffleboard area.

The town needs to raise $30,000 in a crowdfunding campaign within the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority’s CreatINg Places program.  If the town reaches the $30,000 goal, the state will provide a matching grant toward the new sports court.

Donations can be made online (click here) or drop off a donation at the Bourbon Clerk-Treasurer’s Office.

The donation deadline is Tuesday, July 13.

Bourbon Town Council President Ward Byers stated in a press release that the court would be enjoyed by all community members and visitors, and help increase the health and wellness of all members.  It would also lend to the beauty of the park.

The Harmony Marketing Group is the pacesetter for the campaign.

The City of Plymouth was successful in a crowdfunding campaign for the River Park Square launch, the Town of Culver was successful in surpassing its goal for an amphitheater project, and Starke County raised more than enough funds through this platform to fund a Veterans Memorial Plaza in downtown Knox.
