A water and wastewater rate study will be conducted soon in the Town of Argos.
The Argos Town Council members approved action last week to start the study to be put together by Baker Tilly officials.
Utility Superintendent Jamie Lindstrom told the council that the last study was done four years ago so it is time to do a new one. He noted that the cost of the study could be between $5,000 and $8,000 each for water and wastewater rate studies.
The studies will determine where the town sits in terms of revenue for each utility and if rates need to be raised to keep up with costs.
