Culver Town Council President Ginny Bess Munroe presided over her last council meeting Tuesday night.

Munroe was recently hired to assume the role of Culver Town Manager.

Clerk-Treasurer Karen Heim and all council members congratulated her on her many years of service to the residents of Culver and being a great leader for the town.  She will have a chance to continue in moving Culver forward as she transitions to a different leadership role for the town.

Munroe gave some advice to Bill Hamm who was chosen to fill her seat on the council in a Republican Party Caucus prior to the council meeting.

Munroe stated, “That’s what I’ve always tried to be as a council person is a good person and a good neighbor, a good listener, and I tried to practice leadership to some degree – not always successfully, but as you join you’ll find out that it has its ebbs and flows and its ups and downs.  The best you can do is what you can do.”

Munroe thanked her husband, Grant, for years of support and the town employees for their hard work for the residents of Culver.

Munroe will begin as Culver Town Manager on Monday, May 3.
