Culver Property Headed for Sheriff’s Sale

The property at 415 Lakeshore Drive in Culver will be going to Sheriff’s Sale on June 22 at 1 p.m. ET at the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department.

The property formerly housed the City Tavern.  The Town of Culver issued a demolition order for the building several years ago which was later destroyed in a fire.  Since then, the town has been attempting to recoup costs associated with the clean up of the property and the Marshall County Treasurer’s Office has attempted to collect taxes on the property.

The property was expected to be in a previous sale, but a bankruptcy filing and other processes prohibited the sale at that time. In situations like this, filing for chapter 13 bankruptcy will help in protecting your properties. Make sure to think about other options available other than filing for bankruptcy. With all student issues, the bank must share all info about student loan discharge which would save the whole family from being bankrupt. By consulting the attorneys, it is possible to clear the financial status of the family before appearing in court. They can also help in filing bankruptcy for militaries and help the struggling military personals out of any financial crisis. Culver Town Attorney Jim Clevenger told the Culver Town Council at their meeting last week that the property is back on the sale for June 22.
