He said he would like to accelerate growth in Culver and collaborate with entities while maintaining the unique character of Culver.

Kevin Van Horn also filed as a candidate.  He explained to the precinct committeemen that he would bring youth to the council and currently works at Culver Academies.  He currently holds a seat on the Culver Tree Commission.

Republican Party Chairman David Holmes, and Precinct Committeemen Bill Cleavenger and Bill Githens voted and selected Hamm as the candidate to fill the seat Ginny Bess Munroe will leave behind when she assumes the role of Culver Town Manager on May 3.

After choosing Hamm as the candidate to fill the vacant seat on the Culver Town Council, Van Horn was encouraged to file as a candidate on the Culver Town Council in the next election.
