Six New Cases of COVID-19 Reported in Tri-County Area

The number of new COVID-19 cases in the area remains at a low number. 

Marshall County had four new cases in Tuesday’s report from the Indiana Department of Health, while Starke County and Pulaski County each had one new case.  The total number of COVID-19 cases since March of last year is 5,558 in Marshall County, 1,917 in Starke County and 1,102 in Pulaski County. 

There were no new local COVID-19 deaths reported, but there were 18 additional COVID-19 deaths in the state.  Those deaths were confirmed from November 19 to March 22.

A total of 8,681,198 tests, including repeat tests, have been reported to the state since February 26, 2020. 

Indiana residents who are 40 and older, along with healthcare workers, long-term care residents, first responders and educators and school support staff through grade 12 are now eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccine.  To schedule a vaccine appointment, visit https://ourshot.in.gov or call 211.

As of Tuesday, a total of 2,439,523 doses have been administered in Indiana. Over 970,000 individuals are fully vaccinated, including 5,642 people in Marshall County, 2,400 people in Starke County and 1,934 people in Pulaski County.
