Plymouth Police Chief David Bacon presented a parking request to the Board of Public Works and Safety members Monday night from a resident who lives on Michigan Street.
He explained that the resident parks in the parking lot by the old firehouse or in spaces just behind Xaver Cleaners which are two-hour parking areas. The area is near her downtown apartment. She’s gotten several parking violation tickets and is requesting a designated space as she has health issues.
She previously spoke to parking enforcement officer who granted her grace as she was undergoing cancer treatment, but has not brought up the issue since then, according to Bacon.
Mayor Mark Senter asked for a motion but a motion was not made so the issue died because of a lack of a motion. Bacon said he would relay the information to the tenant of the action.
