The construction of the new manufacturing center is a bit delayed, according to Plymouth City Attorney Sean Surrisi.
He told the Plymouth Redevelopment Commission members Tuesday night that the trusses for the building were delivered on time, but they were the wrong size. They will be sent back and proper ones delivered, but it sets the project back about three weeks.
The building will be 43,000 square feet that is expandable to over 100,000 square feet to fit a company’s needs with easy access to U.S. 30 and U.S. 31. Majority Builders is the contractor for the project.
The project cost is about $2.1 million that is funded, in part, by a Regional Development Authority loan of $400,000 and $1.7 million to be financed by the Marshall County Economic Development Commission through Centier Bank.
