The installation of the traffic lights at Plymouth Street and Center Street in Bremen is finally complete, after the lights were recently properly wired.
Bremen Director of Operations Trend Weldy explained to the Bremen Town Council members Monday night that INDOT will do an inspection on the poles where some exposed threads and non-exposed threads on the traffic signal poles may be under scrutiny.
Weldy said he will meet with The Troyer Group next week to go over punchlist items from the downtown project to see what needs to be done before any more money is released from the grant for the project.
The downtown project included the replacement sidewalks and curbs, and installation of new lighting and beautification efforts. INDOT repaved the length of State Road 106 to go with the plans of the downtown project. Century-old water mains were replaced as part of this project.
