Argos School Board Members Approve Resolution to Extend Paid Sick Leave

The Argos School Board members took action on a resolution last week that deals with COVID-19 sick leave.

Superintendent Ned Speicher said the resolution extends the measure where school employees who have been diagnosed with COVID-19 or employees who need to be quarantined due to COVID-19 will continue to be paid.  Speicher said that has been the practice up until now, but the board members wanted to be sure employees will continue to get paid if they are not able to work because of a diagnosis or quarantine situation.

Speicher said the resolution will remain in effect until employees can be fully vaccinated or if they choose to refuse the vaccine.

The school board approved the resolution as presented.
