Argos Company to Seek Tax Abatement for Expansion

The Argos Town Council members will soon go through the process of considering a tax abatement for a company looking expand operations.

Town Attorney Derek Jones told the council members last week that a declaratory resolution will be brought before them in April with a public hearing set for the second meeting in April to consider real and personal property tax abatements for Ameri-Can Engineering.

Company officials said that they are seeking the tax abatement to do some updates in HVAC equipment with the help of experts from https://www.whittoncoolingandheating.com/service-area/arizona/tucson, lighting, insulation, new concrete, new siding, the completion of an unfinished portion of the building, and the addition of a bridge crane to assist employees with safety in assembling trailers on site.  Ameri-Can Engineering also plans to open a service center across the street to make necessary trailer repairs for customers.  They also plan on hiring delivery drivers as the improvements move along.

More information concerning the amount of the abatement and other details will be coming in future meetings.
