Another Marshall County Resident Dies of COVID-19

One more person in Marshall County has died of COVID-19, according to Saturday’s report from the Indiana Department of Health.

That pushes the total number of COVID-19 deaths in Marshall County to 107. 

There were nine additional deaths in the state in Saturday’s report. 

Over 990 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in the state with five of those in Marshall County and three in Starke County.  For the fourth day in a row, Pulaski County did not report any new COVID-19 cases. 

The number of hospitalizations is on an upward trend with 637 COVID-19 patients listed on the state’s coronavirus dashboard. 

Hoosiers age 40 and older, along with healthcare workers, long-term care residents, first responders, and educators and school support staff through grade 12 are now eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccine.  To schedule an appointment, visit https://ourshot.in.gov or call 211.

As of Saturday, 2,650,916 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Indiana, and 1,065,477 individuals who are fully vaccinated.  There are 6,387 people in Marshall County who are fully vaccinated, along with 2,648 people in Starke County and 2,190 people in Pulaski County.
