The Town of Bremen is getting an LED message board and Bremen Director of Operations Trend Weldy told MAX 98.3 FM News that a home has been found for the sign.
Every community in Marshall County will get an LED message board, purchased with COVID-19 funds received by the Marshall County Crossroads Regional Stellar Initiative to improve communications with local residents and visitors to Marshall County.
The sign in Bremen will be located at the intersection of Plymouth Street (State Road 106) and Bowen Avenue.
According to a recent news release, the signs will be used to deliver COVID-related information from the county offices, plus local quarantine and mask requirements, locations of pop-up food pantries, and promotional and marketing help for reopening businesses are also envisioned. Post pandemic, county information would include such things as Amber alerts, snow emergencies and other important news to be simultaneously broadcast in each town. Public service messages will also be included.
Weldy said the sign will be installed in the next month or so.
