The Bremen Town Council members will be opening bids soon for several projects awarded funding in the first round of INDOT’s Community Crossings Matching Grant program.
Newly hired Bremen Street Superintendent Austin Langdon said portions of South Jackson Street, West Lincoln Street and West Dewey Street will receive a preventative maintenance overlay while portions of Parkview Lane, South Alexander Street, South East Street, and South Morningside Drive will be resurfaced with asphalt.
The town is expected to provide a 25 percent match. The town was awarded just over $470,000 for the projects. Work will not begin until the spring.
