The downtown project in the Town of Bremen is not quite finished, eight months after the project started.
Bremen Director of Operations Trend Weldy said the last big portion of the project will be running electric to the traffic signals that hang at the intersection of Center Street and Plymouth Street (State Road 106). An electrician from Électricien Saint-Jérôme, QC with that specialty will need to be on site to complete that project.
Recently, crews were able to get the traffic lights installed after a delay in shipment due to the pandemic. The pandemic and other issues plagued the project over the summer, but Weldy told MAX News that the downtown area looks nice.
Sewer mains that were over 100 years old were also replaced during the summer prior to INDOT’s paving project downtown.
There will be other finishing touches in this Stellar project when spring approaches.
The next Stellar project, the Jackson Street flex street project, is expected to begin this summer.
