The Argos Town Council members recently reviewed several annual donations and contracts with organizations.
The council members unanimously approved a contract with the Marshall County Humane Society. Councilman Shawn Harley stated in his motion that the contract will be brought up to date and make sure it pairs with a revised animal ordinance for next year. The contracted payment to the Humane Society is $3,000.
They also unanimously approved a donation to the American Legion Post of American flags to be placed at gravesites.
The council members voted to table the Marshall County Council on Aging contract. Councilman Shawn Harley asked if the Council on Aging officials could come before the council at a future meeting to present a report on the services provided to the Town of Argos. It would be after that presentation that a donation would be approved.
The approval of a Summer Kickoff donation was tabled as the council members want to see what will happen with the festival this year. They do have funds carried over from last year for the event.
