The contribution to the Marshall County Communications Board from municipalities and townships may be going up. Argos Town Council President George Null, who is a member of that board, told the Argos Town Council members last week that a goal to hire a third full-time dispatcher at the Sheriff’s Department could be realized if the contribution made by all entities increases two percent over the next three years.
Null explained that the Town of Argos currently pays $10,000 and Green and Walnut Townships pay $1,500 toward the effort already. He asked the council members to keep that in mind when budget time comes in the next few months.
