Another Pulaski County Resident Dies of COVID-19

One more person in Pulaski County has died of COVID-19, according to Thursday’s report from the Indiana Department of Health.  The update was listed among 26 COVID-19 deaths reported in the state.  The number of COVID-19 deaths in Pulaski County is now up to 44.

More residents in the state have been diagnosed with COVID-19 with 1,109 additional cases reported Thursday.  Nine of those new cases were in Marshall County, five cases were in Starke County and two cases were in Pulaski County.

Out of the 659,127 people who have been diagnosed with COVID-19, 96 percent of patients have recovered from the virus, while two percent, or 7,238 people, are actively fighting the virus.  Three percent, or 12,065 people, have died from the virus. 

Residents over the age of 60, along with healthcare workers, long-term care residents and first responders are now eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccine. To schedule an appointment, visit https://ourshot.in.gov or call 211.

Over 941,000 Hoosiers have received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, with 5,660 people in Marshall County, about 2,500 people in Starke County and 1,967 people in Pulaski County.  Over 507,000 are now fully vaccinated including 3,375 people in Marshall County, 1,078 in Starke County and 1,178 people in Pulaski County.
