Ancilla College of Marian University has new Chancellor

Ancilla College of Marian University has a new chancellor.  Joseph Heidt began in his new role Monday, February 1. 

Heidt is the senior administrator responsible for leading, guiding, and mentoring staff, faculty and students while providing direction of the campus, including intercollegiate athletics and extracurricular programs, according to school officials.  Heidt is also expected to work with the Marian University provost in leading, planning and implementing strong programs of excellence across the college. 

Enrollment growth will be focus of his, as well as financial strength, and building partnerships with the community and surrounding counties.

Heidt previously served as an executive consultant for Shepherd Insurance, specializing in not-for-profit, education, and real estate industries. He also served as the president and chief executive officer of Providence Cristo Rey High School in Indianapolis and as a teacher, administrator, and athletic coach at Archbishop Riordan High School in San Francisco, California.
