The Culver Town Council will soon be hiring a new town manager.
Jonathan Leist, who has held the position of Culver Town Manager for the last six years, is leaving Culver after accepting a position as Fort Wayne Deputy Director of Redevelopment.
Leist expressed to MAX News that it will be tough leaving Culver, but this was an opportunity he said he could not pass up as he, his wife and children will be closer to family.
He will be in Culver throughout the month of January and take over his new role at the beginning of February.
The position was posted on the town’s Facebook page Wednesday evening.
The town manager serves the Culver Town Council and acts as the chief administrative officer of the town for day-to-day operations which includes directing activities and functions of town offices, departments and boards. The position requires availability during numerous meetings and response to issues and problems during and outside normal office hours, plus much more.
