The Marshall County Commissioners will meet in special session today in order to appoint a new Marshall County Building Commissioner.
At the end of 2020, it was the commissioners’ decision not to reappoint Chuck DeWitt as the Building Commissioner in 2021. Dewitt has since entered into independent contracts with the towns of Argos, Bourbon and Culver to continue in planning services. Bourbon and Culver officials that signed intergovernmental agreements with DeWitt in his capacity of Building Commissioner have waited to see what occurs with the position with the county before taking action on renewal or termination of that agreement. Argos Town Council officials have already terminated that agreement.
The commissioners may discuss other items under “commissioner items” on the agenda.
The Marshall County Commissioners will meet today at 9 a.m. in the second floor meeting room in the Marshall County Building at 112 W. Jefferson Street in Plymouth.
