The Marshall County Commissioners took action to appoint a new building inspector Monday morning.
Commission President Kevin Overmyer said the commissioners conducted interviews for the position last week. Commissioner Michael Burroughs made the motion to recommend Steve Howard to the position. Commissioner Stan Klotz seconded the motion and the appointment of Steve Howard was made unanimously.
Howard told the commissioners that he is looking forward to working with the county. He will be working with Human Resources Administrator Ann Anglin to get all of the paperwork in line.
His first day will be Monday, February 1.
