Indiana Department of Health Reports Just Over 3,200 New Cases of COVID-19

The Indiana Department of Health reported Sunday that 3,228 more people in the state have tested positive with COVID-19 and all of those tests were reported on Saturday. 

Marshall County had another 18 positive cases out of 47 tests reported, and Starke County had six new cases of COVID-19 out of 28 new tests, and Pulaski County had six new cases out of 16 new tests. 

Twenty-four more people in the state died of the virus from January 14 to January 16.

Hoosiers ages 70 and older, along with healthcare workers, long-term care residents and first responders, are now eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccine. To date, nearly 297,000 Hoosiers have received their first dose of vaccine, and nearly 61,000 have been fully vaccinated.
