A familiar face will return to the Marshall County Council following a Marshall County Republican Party Caucus Wednesday night to fill the unexpired term of Jack Roose.
Roose announced his resignation after the first meeting of the County Council January 11.
Jon Van Vactor received the majority of the votes over Bruce Knapp and Mark Wickizer who also submitted letters of interest to take the District 3 council seat. Seven people were eligible to vote in the caucus.
Van Vactor ran for a seat on the county council in the November General Election, but was defeated.
