The last portion of the Bremen downtown project is scheduled for next week.
The Indiana Department of Transportation announced the closure of Plymouth Street/State Road 106 and Center Street to be closed Tuesday, February 2 to Thursday February 4 for the installation of poles and traffic signals. This is expected to be the last major part of the downtown project.
The intersection will open to traffic at 5 p.m. on Thursday, February 4.
Drivers should seek a different route. Local traffic may use town streets as a detour.
Bremen Director of Operations Trend Weldy told the Bremen Town Council members this week that trees along Plymouth Street/State Road 106 through the downtown area will be planted in the spring and flower planters will be installed. More concrete work may be done with some repairs anticipated.
