Another COVID-19 Death Reported in Pulaski County

Another person in Pulaski County has died of COVID-19 which pushes the total number of deaths there to 34. 

In Tuesday’s report from the Indiana Department of Health, Pulaski County had one more positive case of COVID-19 for a new overall total of 868, Starke County had three new cases for a new overall total of 1,584 and Marshall County had seven new positive cases for a new overall total of 4,629.

The 7-day positivity rate for all tests in Pulaski County is 14.2 percent, the 7-day positivity rate in Starke County is 18.2 percent and the rate in Marshall County is 19.6 percent. 

There were 3,477 additional positive cases in the state in Tuesday’s report with 142 additional COVID-19 deaths. 

According to the Regenstrief Institute, about 10 percent of the people in the state who have tested positive with COVID-19 are actively fighting the virus.   That amounts to 38,826 patients of which 2,900 are hospitalized with COVID-19.
