Plymouth City Council Holds Public Hearing Concerning Additional Appropriations

The Plymouth City Council members opened a public hearing last week to take comments on several additional appropriations requests.

Clerk-Treasurer Jeanine Xaver said $30,000 is being requested for the Aviation CARES Act Fund, $320,836 in the city’s CARES Act Fund, and $11,975 in Department of Health and Human Service CARES Act Fund.  These were reimbursements for personal and operating expenses for the city.  The grant money went into newly created funds so permission had to be approved for the money to be properly appropriated to use against expenses.

Additionally, $137,000 was requested from the Cumulative Capital Development Fund for the proposed amendment to an agreement for the Plymouth Municipal Airport’s parallel and connecting taxiway project.  About $46,000 was requested in the 2000 TIF Fund for an agreement with The Troyer Group for construction design, bidding and administration services for the second phase of River Park Square.

Xaver also explained that permission was needed to transfer remaining funds from the City Building Project Construction Fund back to the 1993 TIF Tax Fund.

There were no public comments given during the public hearing.

The council members later unanimously voted in favor of a resolution approving the appropriation as presented.
