The Culver Town Council members will continue a discussion on EMS staffing when they meet tonight.
During the council’s last regular meeting, EMS Director Jeff Koon asked the council to review a proposed salary increase for paramedics and EMTs in order to attract workers, retain workers, and grow as a department. The council held a work session last week to go over the proposal along with a look at holiday pay and scheduling. That discussion will continue tonight. It is the last piece of the 2021 salary ordinance.
Additionally, the council members will look at a revised storm water rate study and plans to implement an increase.
Clerk-Treasurer Karen Heim will present a resolution to transfer funds within departments and funds, plus an ordinance to approve the action of encumbering funds. Contracts will also be reviewed for approval.
Town Manager Jonathan Leist will have information on the town’s Stellar Communities Designation Project plans as well as plans with the Marshall County Crossroads Stellar Communities Initiative.
Members of various departments, boards and commissions are anticipated to give updates when the Culver Town Council members meet tonight at 6:30 p.m. ET at the Culver Beach Lodge. The council members urge residents to join the meeting virtually or call 574-221-6909, conference ID 216 944 139#.
