The Culver Town Council members reviewed several encumbrance requests during their meeting last week.
Clerk-Treasurer Karen Heim asked the town council members to encumber $153.33 for the Culver Tree Commission, $2,787.86 from the Culver Police Department budget to pay for the town’s annual contribution for shared police information through Marshall County’s new Computer Aided Dispatch System, and $20,736 for the Culver-Union Township Fire Department. The fire department’s request was to carry over the money in order to purchase new turnout gear.
The Culver Town Council members approved encumbering those funds to the 2021 budget with a unanimous vote.
