Candidate Sought to Fill Vacant Plymouth School Board Seat

The Plymouth School Board is looking for candidates to fill the vacant District II West Township seat on the board.  There were no candidates who filed for the open seat in the November General Election.

The candidate must live within the boundaries of West Township and must have lived there for at least the last year.  A letter must be presented that outlines the candidate’s desire to be chosen for the seat.  The term is four years and ends December 31, 2024.

Interviews will be held January 13 at 6 p.m.  The nominee must be at a special board meeting on January 20 at 7 p.m. where the board will vote on the appointment in an open meeting.  The candidate with the most votes will immediately be sworn into office and fill the seat at that moment.

Letters of interest must be received by Plymouth Community School Superintendent Andy Hartley no later than January 6, 2021.  Mail letters to Superintendent Andy Hartley, 611 Berkley Street, Plymouth, IN, 46563.
