The Argos Town Council members approved the purchase of two life packs for use by Argos EMS personnel.
EMS Director Sarah McCallum said the current life packs are outdated and parts are no longer available if they need repairs.
The purchase was previously discussed and the most recent quote obtained was for $54,374.12, which is available in the budget. Green Township and Walnut Township Trustees will likely provide some funding for the equipment in an agreement with the town.
McCallum said the equipment will arrive in four to five weeks from the date of purchase.
