Residents in the Town of Argos are invited to a Christmas in the Park caravan event tonight (December 5) for an hour-long event at 6 p.m. in the Argos Community Park at 501 W. Marshall Street.
Those attending are encouraged to enter Argos Community Park off of State Road 10 and stay in the vehicle following a caravan through the park down “Luminary Lane”. Turn off the vehicle’s headlights and open the car windows to soak in the sounds of the holiday season.
Santa will be at the event to wave to all of the children who visit.
Town of Argos officials are also hoping that all residents get in the decorating spirit to light the town with holiday displays at businesses and homes. Sign up to win the light decorating contest that begins today. Judging ends on December 12. The top prize is $200, second place is $100 and third place is $50. The winners will be announced during the Argos Town Council meeting on Wednesday, December 16.
