Plymouth Woman Accused of Resisting Law Enforcement after Allegedly Refusing to Leave Walmart

A Plymouth woman was arrested Monday after allegedly causing a disturbance at Walmart. Plymouth Police say they were called to what was initially reported as a battery against an employee around 7:00 p.m.

Officers say Sheyenne Merritt, 27, was causing such a disturbance that management asked her to leave the store. Not only did she allegedly refuse to leave, but police say she also resisted arrest. Merritt was taken to the Marshall County Jail on suspicion of criminal trespass and resisting law enforcement.

The arrest happened just minutes after the store’s general manager told the Plymouth Board of Works that he was having issues with angry customers, due to the enforcement of the county’s face mask ordinance.
