Plymouth School Board Considers Teacher Master Contract

The Plymouth School Board members discussed the proposed Teacher Master Contract during their meeting Tuesday night.

Superintendent Andy Hartley said there were some salary changes and language that was cleaned up to make things more clear.

“The overall summary for that contract included language that was identical when it comes to the raises that the teachers will receive as last year which included a minimum of a $1,400 base salary increase,” stated Hartley.  “We were also able to add to the corporation’s contributions toward health insurance premiums which was something that has not been able to be done in the past 10 years.  We also added a provision in there in order to compensate teachers for covering during their prep periods for sub shortages – something that has been and will continue to be utilized throughout the school year.”

Hartley added that a base salary increase for eligible administrators was given in the amount of $1,400.

The school board members ratified the Teacher Master Contract with a unanimous vote.
