Marshall, Starke, Pulaski Counties Stay in Orange Code on COVID-19 County Metrics Map

Marshall, Starke and Pulaski Counties remain in the orange level code classification on the State’s COVID-19 County Metrics Map.

The map is updated every Wednesday at noon and a score is given pertaining to the number of weekly cases per 100,000 residents and the seven-day all tests positivity rate.  An orange code means that there is moderate community spread of COVID-19.

Twenty-one counties are coded red, including Porter, Lake and White Counties, 70 counties are coded orange, and Putnam County is coded yellow.

In Wednesday’s update from the Indiana Department of Health, 6,143 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19 including 80 new cases in Marshall County, 16 new cases in Starke County and 8 new cases in Pulaski County.

Currently, 3,040 COVID-19 patients in the state are hospitalized with 841 of those patients in ICU.

Two more Starke County residents have died of COVID-19. They are counted in the 60 additional deaths reported in the state in Wednesday’s report.  The deaths span between November 5 and November 17.
