Marshall County Company Awarded Grant to Advance 21st Century Solutions in Defense

The Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC), in coordination with the Indiana Defense Network, awarded Indiana Technology and Manufacturing Companies (ITAMCO) a grant to foster innovation and technology development in the defense industry.

According to the IEDC, the grants will enable businesses to create new platforms or processes utilizing smart technology to improve data management, efficiency and analysis among contractors with the U.S. Department of Defense.

ITAMCO will use $150,000 in grant funds to develop a machine learning, smart-data-analysis platform for manufacturers that provides real-time adjustment using artificial intelligence for product quality monitoring.  It is expected to enhance efficiencies and lower costs for manufacturers, replacing traditional methods of calibrations.  Other grant recipients include J&L Dimensional in La Porte County and Mursix Corporation in Delaware County.
