The Argos Economic Development Director will get a stipend from the Town of Argos for his efforts.
Mark VanDerWeele works to assist the town with economic development at no cost, but the Argos Town Council agreed at their last meeting to give him a $500 stipend for the year as an appreciation payment.
VanDerWeele keeps the town council informed on economic opportunities in Argos and how facilities are functioning. He recently encouraged residents in the town to apply for Habitat for Humanity housing as part of the Marshall County Crossroads Regional Stellar Communities Initiative.
