Record Number of New COVID-19 Cases Reported Thursday

The Indiana Department of Health announced Thursday that 2,880 additional residents in the state have been diagnosed with COVID-19.

Health officials say that Thursday’s numbers represent results from 36,552 specimens submitted which is the highest number to date. 

Another 32 Marshall County residents tested positive for COVID-19 in Thursday’s report which increases the overall total of 1,374.  Starke County’s total number of COVID-19 is now at 407 with 10 new cases reported on Thursday.  Another four people were diagnosed with COVID-19 in Pulaski County to drive that overall total to 152. 

An additional 42 people in the state have died from COVID-19.
