When a tour was held on the Mill Pond Forest property for a proposed mountain bike trail, the Marshall County Parks and Recreation Board members were made aware of tree stands on the property.
The board members thought that hunting was not allowed on the county-owned property and that the tree stands were illegally mounted there. There are about two or three stands on the grounds that will need to be addressed.
The issue will be brought before the Marshall County Commissioners to determine action from there.
