The Culver-Union Township Fire Department volunteers welcome residents to see the town’s new aerial fire truck on Monday, October 26 at 6 p.m. ET at the fire house off of Lake Shore Drive.
Fire Chief Ken VanDePutte told the Culver Town Council members last week that there are a few more items needed to completely outfit the truck. The council approved a request to purchase those items for $3,739.
Additionally, the council approved the cost of almost $3,300 to have the street marked for the approach for the truck and inside the fire house to ensure that the truck goes in and out of the building properly to avoid damage.
