The Culver Town Council members will consider the second reading to an amendment to the golf cart ordinance when they meet tonight.
After much public input regarding the registration fee at the last meeting, the ordinance will reflect a fee increase from $40 to $60. Other changes include the age, height and licensing of the driver of a golf cart; information concerning insurance; the need for a red or amber flashing light for a golf cart, the number of passengers allowed on the golf cart, and a $150 fee per violation. If more than three violations have occurred, the golf cart registration will be revoked.
The council will also consider a second reading of an ordinance that addresses animal drawn vehicles and the first reading of an ordinance amending and restating parking regulations.
Additionally, the council will review a resolution to provide for the reimbursement of public health and public safety payroll costs with CARES Act funding. They will also get feedback from residents on West Shore Drive on the traffic solution implemented in that location a few months ago.
Department heads and members from several boards and commissions are anticipated to provide updates to the council.
The Culver Town Council will meet tonight at 6:30 p.m. ET at the Culver Beach Lodge at 819 Lake Shore Drive.
