Bremen Town Council to Open Ambulance Service Bids in November

The Bremen Town Council members will be opening ambulance service bids at their first meeting in November.

Bremen Director of Operations Trend Weldy announced earlier this month that Lutheran EMS will no longer offer services with their contract to end at the beginning of the year.  He noted that he has reached out to a few ambulance companies, but specifications will be advertised for bids.

Lutheran EMS has been the town’s ambulance service for several years.  In 2019, Lutheran EMS notified the town that they would be canceling their contract, but an agreement was reached with an increase in prices through the rest of the year and later submitted the lone bid to continue services for 2020 and 2021, but will not complete the contract.  Under the contract terms, they are to give 90 days notice of termination of services and that has been followed.

The council members are anticipated to open bids on Monday, November 9.
