The Argos Street Department may be getting a new chipper.
Utility Superintendent Jamie Lindstrom told the Argos Town Council last week that the town’s almost 18-year-old chipper is in need of a $4,500 part so one is being rented to tend to needs of the residents.
Some residents called the Town Hall to complain that sticks and leaves were piling up in areas while the street department worked to find a solution.
The Argos Town Council members approved a motion to allow Lindstrom to get quotes for a new chipper. They will review those quotes at the next meeting on Wednesday, October 21.
